Today we hear volumes of rhetoric regarding our choice. Choice for abortion, choice of the use of filthy language , choice of the homosexual lifestyles, choice of sex and violence shown on prime time national television, Choice to teach sex education to third grade students, choice to provide clean needles to drug users at tax payers expense, and the list is nearly endless.
The beauty of serving the God of choice is that He will not interfere with the choice you make. He simply sends a  message regarding the result of your choice.
In Romans 6:16 the Apostle Paul was moved by the Hoy Spirit to write to this warning:
"Do you not know that to whom you present yourselves slaves to obey, you are that one's slaves whom you obey, whether of sin to death, or of obedience to righteousness"?  ROM 6:16
Jesus tells us that, "No servant can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon." (money)
LUK 16:13
John wrote, Do Not Love the World (world system)  "Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him".  1JO 2:15
James put it this way in his letter,  "Adulterers and adulteresses! (those who turn their back on God) Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God".   JAM 4:4
In EPH 2:1-2 Paul reminds the believers in Christ of the life that they now live because of their choice.   "And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins, in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now
works in the sons of disobedience,"(Satan)
God can give you the ability and power to change the way you live. With His help, you can choose to stop living your life in a nonstop pattern of sin.
The best way to stop---or at least slow down---the sin pattern that comes so naturally for you is by developing new habits. The old habits can be broken while the new ones are being established.
Developing new habits doesn't come automatically. First, you must identify the conduct in your life that needs to stop. Next, you need to learn from God's Word the type of lifestyle that God wants you to have. Then, you need to implement the new pattern of living---repeating it constantly so that it becomes an automatic habit.
You can't accomplish all of this on your own. But you don't have to because God is anxious to help you.
In the book of James God is sending a message to the Jewish believers that have been scattered because of the faith. JAM 4:7  Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.  JAM 4:10  Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up.
God's desire is to help you. He is always there for you. The CHOICE IS YOURS. WHICH WILL IT BE FOR YOU? WHO WILL YOU SERVE?
There is a price to pay, and a peace to gain.
Have a powerful New Day in Christ.
Your friend in the Lord
